Hi! My name is Mike Barbanente, I live near Chicago, I was born and raised in Chicago. I am the owner of Iron Sleek. To show that our Refrigerated Rinks are the best I spent the time and money to put one in my own backyard. That's how this company started I wanted to do something for my kids, Cassie and Michela. I've been putting in a backyard rinks since Cassie was 2 years old. That was a very fond memory because that is when we moved to this property. We started with a natural rink and we did that for over a decade but then we decided to really be amazing and wanted to take it too the next level so we got refrigeration. It was the best decision I've ever made as you can see I am standing on this ice even though it is March 20th and sunny. We have been able to skate on demand all winter and spring for years. Getting a refrigeration system has been better than expected and it has been great. This year I had a Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, and St. Patrick's Day party on this ice.
